Ordained Minister

Ordained Minister Services

Your wedding is a deeply personal and meaningful moment. While we always encourage couples to work with a long-term religious leader if they have one, we understand that this isn’t always possible. In those cases, we are happy to provide a professional Ordained Minister to officiate your ceremony with care, respect, and attention to detail.

Our ordained minister will work closely with you to ensure your ceremony reflects your values, style, and vision.

What to Expect From Our Ordained Minister

Our ordained minister offers a personalized and professional experience from start to finish:

  • A one-on-one intake consultation via video call to understand your ceremony preferences

  • Guidance on what you want included — and what you don’t

  • Coordination of timed elements such as music, readings, themes, vows, or video moments

  • A written copy of your ceremony provided in advance for review

  • Attendance at the rehearsal (up to 1 hour)

  • Professional attire: suit and tie or sport jacket and tie, based on your preference

  • Optional prayer or blessing at the reception, if requested

Our goal is to ensure your ceremony is seamless, heartfelt, and stress-free.

Requirements to Be an Officiant in Indiana

To legally officiate a wedding in Indiana, the officiant must be:

  • An ordained minister of a religious organization, or

  • A government official (judge, mayor, etc.)

Important Notes:

  • Indiana does not require officiants to register before the ceremony

  • The officiant must be physically present at the ceremony

  • The signed license must be returned to the County Clerk

If the officiant is not already clergy, ordination can be obtained through recognized organizations such as:

After the Ceremony

Once the ceremony is complete:

  • The officiant returns the license to the County Clerk
