My husband and I met later in life — both of us 51 years old — and from the moment our paths crossed, we knew. It wasn’t just love; it was soul-deep admiration and love. He became my best friend, my partner, and the one who made me believe that fairytales don’t have an expiration date.

When we began planning our wedding, he was determined to make it everything I had ever dreamed of — some surprises he planned in secret, others we created together. Every little detail was filled with love and intention. As we went through the process, one truth became clear: creating magic can come with a hefty price tag.

We spent thousands on decorations that made our night unforgettable — yet after just four hours, everything sat in our garage, gathering dust. It broke my heart a little. That’s The Weathered Moose was born – from the idea that every person deserves to feel adored and celebrated, without having to spend a fortune to make it happen.
